A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Nov. 4 armed robbery at a Rite Aid on West Northern Parkway, city police said.
Darnell Gaither had paced through the store before placing a candy bar with a note on the counter stating that it was a robbery, police said. After the store clerk read the note, Gaither raised his shirt exposing the handgun in his waistband, police said. They said Gaither made off with over $300 from the store.
Gaither is now being held at Central Booking without bail. He is charged with many handgun violations as well as armed robbery, police said.
