Baltimore City Police are investigating two separate shooting deaths that occurred within hours of each other.

Police said 25-year-old Corey Jones died Wednesday evening after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 3100 block of W. North Avenue.

Medics arrived on the scene and pronounced Jones dead from his injuries, police said.

In a separate shooting, police found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds to his body at 1 a.m. Thursday in the 2500 block of E. Monument Street. Medics responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.

Police said there were no known witnesses for either shooting and an investigation continues in both incidents.
