Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District are asking the public to help locate a car that was used in a shooting on Saratoga Avenue, NE.

Officers said a white car approached a victim in the 1300 block of Saratoga Avenue, NE around 3:52 p.m. Wednesday. People got out of the car, fired handguns at the victim and then fled the scene in the vehicle.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital, officers said.

The car is being sought for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense. Anyone with information should call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a suspect.
