The chief medical examiner ruled Thursday morning that the cause of death of a 42-year-old woman was a homicide due to blunt force trauma, police said.
The female victim, Africa Powel, was discovered in the 5300 block of Gist Avenue at approximately 11:12 a.m. on Nov. 13, police said.
