21 people displaced after townhouse fire

A four-alarm fire that occurred Tuesday night in Dundalk has left 21 people displaced from their homes, police said.

The fire involved four townhomes in the 100 block of Highshire Court and is still under investigation, police said.

Baltimore County Fire Department fire units were dispatched to the scene at 10:46 p.m. for an active dwelling fire that quickly spread across the rooftops of the townhomes.

In response, commanders called for second, third and fourth alarms that brought more than 30 trucksto the scene, police said.

One civilian suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was evaluated at the scene, refusing hospitalization.

Police said at 11:07 p.m., a “Mayday” was called in by a career firefighter who fell through the roof. He was not seriously injured.

The fire was extinguished at 11:29 p.m.
