A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the connection with a homicide and an assault that occurred on Saturday, city police said.

Trever McDole of the 900 block of Streeper Street was charged with first-degree murder, police said. Police said they believe McDole was involved in the murder of 57-year-old Alex Bland and an assault on a 75-year-old woman. Detectives said an argument initiated the incident.

Baltimore City police found the two at a home in the 1800 block of East Lanvale Avenue. They said the man suffered from multiple stab wounds and a woman suffered from unspecified injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses later reported seeing a naked man running from the home.

McDole has been taken into the Central Booking Intake Facility.
