A 67-year-old man died yesterday when the car he was driving was hit by a county fire department medical vehicle in Milford Mill, police said.

Elmer Creek, of the 3600 block of Marriotts Lane in Milford Mill, was pronounced dead at Northwest Hospital on Monday, police said.

Police did not release the names of the paramedic and emergency medical technicians who were in the Medic 18 truck, but they said both were treated and released this morning from the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

The crash occurred at 12:21 a.m. when Elmer was exiting a parking lot in a Toyota Camry to make a left turn onto Liberty Road, police said. The medical vehicle was driving eastbound on Liberty when it struck the car on the driver’s side and pushed the Camry into three parked vehicles, police said.

Police said the medical vehicle was responding from the Randallstown Fire Station to the 1500 block of Ingleside Avenue in Woodlawn for a medical emergency involving a patient with chest pain.
