One man dead, several others injured in separate shooting incidents

Several people were shot and one man was found dead in several shooting incidents on Sunday and Monday, city police said.

Police said they found the body of unresponsive adult male lying in a wooded area in the 5000 block of Ivanhoe at 9:48 a.m. Sunday. Baltimore City medics pronounced the victim dead, and an inspection at the Medical Examiner’s office revealed a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.

In separate incidents, city police reported the following:

  •  An adult man suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and groin in the 4200 Block of Nicholas Avenue at 4:07 p.m. Sunday. The victim was transported to the hospital where his condition is currently unknown.
  • An adult man was shot in the torso and leg in the 4000 Block of Grapevine Way The man was transported to the local area hospital for treatment.
  • Patrol officers said a man was wounded in the leg and a woman was shot in the torso in the 2700 block of Ashland Avenue on Monday. Both victims remain in stable condition.
