A 90-year-old Nottingham woman died in a single-car crash on Belair Road, Baltimore County Police said Friday.
Phyllis Ann Cloud of the unit block of Powhurst Court was riding in the front passenger seat of a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu around 2:15 p.m. Thursday when it jumped a curb near Silver Spring Road and struck a BGE pole. The driver, a 61-year-old man, apparently suffered a medical emergency, police said.
Cloud was rushed to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where she later died, police said.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, and is expected to survive, police said.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team was investigating.
