Baltimore man charged in stabbing death

Baltimore City police were holding a 22-year-old man on first-degree murder charges Friday.

Jonathan Calloway of the 3300 block of Windsor Avenue was charged with first-degree murder, manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the death of a 25-year-old Baltimore man, police said. The 25-year-old walked into St. Agnes Hospital around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday with stab wounds in the neck and was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

Police said an investigation and review of physical evidence showed the stabbing occurred in Calloway’s Windsor Avenue apartment. Calloway is in Central Booking waiting to see a court commissioner.

In other reported deaths, police said that:

–A shooting victim was found lying on a curb in the 1300 block of Glenwood Avenue early Thursday. Police said the unidentified victim was shot in the left side and medics pronounced him dead at the scene around 2 a.m. 

— an unidentified 24-year-old man was pronounced dead of gunshot wounds at Johns Hopkins Hospital late Wednesday. Police said officers found the man in the 200 block of Douglas Court close to midnight Wednesday.

–Terrance Featherstone, 23, was pronounced dead at a local Shock Trauma unit early Thursday. Homicide investigators said that Featherstone was outside his home in the 600 block of Arsan Avenue when a gunman opened fire on him. He retreated inside his house and ran to the bedroom where he was found, police said.
