A 65-year-old man died Saturday after injuries sustained in an accidental grease fire in a kitchen that occurred on May 10, police said.

William Melvin Riggins, of the 2900 block of Lakebook Circle in Lansdowne, died at a local hospice facility after being transported there from St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, police said.

Riggins was taken to St. Agnes with minor smoke inhalation, then transported to the hospice facility due to compilations from the smoke inhalation and a pre-existing condition, police said.

This victim is Baltimore County’s fifth fire-related fatality this year, police said.
