Baltimore County Police on Saturday continued to investigate the crash of a Chrysler 300 into a BG&E pole and tree in Kingsville. A passenger died at the scene, while the driver died of injuries three days ago.

The driver was identified as Walter Paul Ross, Jr., 39, of the 1200 block of Pulaski Highway in Joppa. Witnesses pulled Ross from his burning vehicle, which had been traveling north near the intersection of Bradshaw Road. Police said the car crossed the oncoming lane of traffic and collided with the pole and then a tree around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. The Chrysler burst into flames.

The passenger, 24-year-old Samantha Jean Muehleisen of the 600 block of Yorkshire Drive in Edgewood, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ross was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Burn Center, where he was listed in critical condition. He died around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, police said.
