District of Columbia police on Monday were investigating the hit-and-run death of a 24-year-old man at the intersection of Southern Avenue and Beck Street, Southeast.
Joshua Lorenzo Williams was struck by a speeding 2015 Buick Encore around 11:24 p.m. Friday in the 4300 block of Southern Avenue, detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations said. The driver of the Buick fled on foot. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
