A Southeast Washington, D.C. man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a homicide that took place 14 days ago, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
Terrance Barnes, 27, was charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 57-year-old Barry Holmes, police officials said.
Police responded to a call around 4:30 p.m. on April 17 and found Holmes shot in the 5100 block of Southeast Avenue. Holmes was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
