City Police investigate shootings

Baltimore City police are investigating two shootings, including one that claimed the life of a 21-year-old man on Wednesday.

Officers said Kevon Dix, 21, was discovered by police with gunshot wounds in his body in the 3400 block of Mary Avenue around 10:23 p.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

In another shooting, police said a 29-year-old man walked into a local area hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg around 11:42 p.m. Wednesday. The victim told police he was in the 4900 block of Cordelia Avenue when he was shot.

Homicide Detectives and officers from the Citywide Shooting Unit are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.
