A 13-year-old boy was arrested April 11 and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a 17-year-old male on March 28, police said.

Police said the suspect was with his attorney when he turned himself in to police at the Juvenile Detention Center, where he will remain pending his trial.

Baltimore City police were investigating the shooting death of 17-year-old Lamont Green in the 1400 block of Montpelier Street late last month.

Police said officers summoned a medic when they discovered Green with gunshot wounds. Green was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Police said Homicide Shooting detectives assumed control of the investigation after responding to the location.

Anyone with information is advised to contact Baltimore Police Department’s Homicide detectives, at 410-396-2100. Those who wish to remain anonymous can access the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line, at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
