The United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force located and arrested a suspect Thursday in connection to the murder of Dennis Buckley on Lachlan Circle on March 29, police said.

According to the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit, they obtained an arrest warrant for first-degree murder for Khalil Zakee Yeldell, 21, of Washington, D.C.

Detectives learned that Yeldell was staying in an apartment in the 6900 block of Lachlan Circle at the time of the murder but later fled to Washington, D.C. before police arrived, police said.

An autopsy on Monday revealed that Buckley died of sharp force trauma after he was found bleeding and unconscious on the sidewalk on the 6900 block of Lachlan Circle. His death was ruled a homicide, police said.

An earlier 9-1-1 call revealed another victim being threatened by a man with a knife that fit the description of Yeldell, police said.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the motive and more charges could follow, police said.
