A local teenager was arrested today for allegedly shooting his former girlfriend while she sat in her vehicle in Perry Hall last month, police said.

Christopher James Engles, 19, of the unit block of Bellhurst Way in Perry Hall, was charged with first-degree murder, police said. He is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center following a bail review hearing earlier this afternoon, police said.

According to police, Taylor India Webb, 20, of the 4600 block of Marble Hall Road in Northwood was found in the driver’s seat of her vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her upper just before midnight on Feb. 27. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Webb had arranged to meet Engles just a half mile from his home on the night of the incident. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, police said.
