Police investigate three homicides, one shooting

A 28-year-old Baltimore man was being held by City Police on first-degree attempted murder charges.

Warrant Apprehension Detectives arrested Nolan Floyd around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday in the 1300 block of Ensor Street. He was taken to Central Book and was waiting to see a court commissioner.

Floyd was charged in connection with the shooting of a 47-year-old man in the back around 9:05 p.m. last week in the 3400 block of Mount Pleasant Avenue. The man told detectives he was shot in the back as he exited a house in the block. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was expected to make a full recovery.

Police also were investigating the following homicides that occurred on Wednesday:
• Kaylyn High, 21, African-American female, was shot while in the 3000 block of East 22 Street.
• Rodriguez Sawyer, 29, African-American male, was shot while in the 900 block of North Monroe Street.
• Octavius Blackwell, 30, African America male, was shot while in the 1600 block of Durham Street.
