A 46-year-old Towson woman was being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on charges of first- and second-degree assault, police said.

Lia Evette Tucker was in a domestic argument with her 50-year-old boyfriend in the unit block of Allegheny Avenue in Towson at 7:43 p.m. Sunday. She swung a knife at him and cut his face, said police. The boyfriend, who was not identified, was rushed to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening wound around 9:40 p.m. Sunday.

Tucker was arrested at the scene. She was being held at the detention center pending a bail review hearing.
