robbery Moenius booking photoA local man was arrested Friday for an attempted robbery of an elderly woman in White Marsh, police said.

Jon Codi Moenius, 25, of the 11000 block of Silver Spruce Terrace in Kingsville was charged with robbery, armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, and use of a dangerous weapon in the commission of the crime, police said.

According to police, Moenius approached a 71-year-old woman who was at an ATM at the Wells Fargo Bank on Belair Road on Dec. 9. Moenius held a knife to the woman’s back as he demanded that she withdraw money from the ATM, but she began to scream for help.

Baltimore County citizens helped police identify Moenius as the suspect. After posting images of Moenius, the Baltimore County Police Department received many phone calls identifying the suspect, police said.

Moenius is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.
