Baltimore City Police closed a 2-year-old murder case on Monday after an anonymous tip helped identify the suspect.

Homicide detectives arrested Jordan Moody, 30, of Essex, and charged him with first-degree murder of Keith Patterson. Moody was arrested Monday without incident and is being held at Central Booking until a bail review.

Patterson, 39, of the 1600 block of Carswell Street, died of his injuries at Johns Hopkins Hospital on Dec. 31, 2016, following a shooting after a dispute inside a bar in the 2200 block of East North Avenue. Homicide detectives investigated the shooting but the probe ran cold until the anonymous tip came through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Last month, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Moody.
