A 69-year-old woman died late Friday after a fire erupted in her Lansdowne home, Baltimore County fire officials said.

Eleanor Jean Daniels was discovered inside the home in the 3100 block of Aspen Court at 10:44 p.m., six minutes after neighbors called 911, officials said. After fire crews arrived, a small explosion went off inside the home, leaving officials to speculate that a small oxygen tank was the cause.

Firefighters fought for about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire. Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The fire is under investigation.
