One person was shot inside a home in the 1500 block of Dornton Avenue in Middle River Tuesday afternoon, Baltimore County police said.
The victim was shot at least once around 2:30 p.m. and was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive, police said. They said the suspect appears to have fled the scene.
Police said the nearby Martin Boulevard Elementary School never went into an alert because there was no immediate threat to the community.
