A 22-year-old man was listed in critical condition at a local hospital after a shooting in the 1700 block of Ashburton Street Friday, Baltimore City police said.
Western District patrol officers found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest around 6:55 p.m. He was listed in critical condition at an area hospital.
Meanwhile, Lamont Andrews, 37, of the 4500 block of Maplewood Drive was being held in Central Booking on various weapons and drug charges. Police arrested Andrews in the 300 block of N. Paca Street Wednesday when officers found him in possession of illegal narcotics and a loaded assault weapon. Taken from the scene were 193 mini garbage cans containing suspected cocaine and a .45 caliber semi-automatic assault weapon, officers said.
