The Baltimore County Police Department on Thursday identified the person accused of assaulting a 27-year-old man in Dundalk.
Police said that although they have received different accounts of the incident, an investigation showed that around 7 p.m. Sunday a man knocked on the victim’s door in the 500 block of Main Street and entered the home. The man argued with the victim and struck him in the head with a gun. The firearm discharged into a wall, police said. The victim then grabbed the gun and fired several rounds at the intruder who fled through the back door.
The intruder suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was treated at a Baltimore City hospital, where he was later identified by an officer and the Dundalk Precinct Investigative Services Team. The victim suffered a minor head injury and was treated at an area hospital, officers said.
Police have issued an arrest warrant and said identifies will be disclosed once the man is formally charged.
