Dead body found near railroad tracks in Baltimore

Baltimore homicide detectives are investigating the death of an adult man who was found by a set of railroad tracks in the city Thursday morning, police said.

Police said they were dispatched to the railroad tracks by Towanda Avenue and Oswego Avenue at about 9:30 a.m. to investigate the discovery of a dead body.

When they arrived, they found a deceased adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Homicide detectives suspect foul play and are awaiting the results of an autopsy, according to police.
