Police investigate 3 shooting incidents in city

Baltimore City police are investigating three shootings Monday.

The first shooting, which occurred around 11:40 a.m., involved a 22-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and arms in the 1500 block of Poplar Grove, police said.

He was transported to an area hospital where he is said to be in critical condition, according to police. Homicide detectives have been contacted due to the victim’s injuries.

Police also reported that a 35-year-old woman was shot in the leg at about 2:39 p.m. in the 400 block of North Edgewood Street and transported to a nearby hospital.

The third incident occurred in the 600 block of Yale Avenue at about 7:14 p.m., police said. They said an adult male with gunshot sounds was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
