An 11-year-old girl was in serious condition at a local hospital today after being struck by a car as she crossed Chestnut Oak Road in the Towson area, police said.
Baltimore County police said the youth was walking legally in the crosswalk when a burgundy, four-door sedan struck her just before 4 p.m. Friday. The car was traveling south on Chestnut after turning from Yokona Road in Parkville.
The child was reported in serious condition, but not life-threatening, officers from the department’s crash team said.
