Man dead after car accident in Windsor Mill

An 81-year-old man was killed in a car accident that occurred in Windsor Mill on Monday evening, police said.

Police said Ronald Gross, of the 1800-block of N. Fulton Ave. Druid Heights, Baltimore, was transported to a nearby hospital where died later that night at 11:20 p.m.

The accident occurred just after 5 p.m. on Windsor Mill Road near Summit Avenue, police said.

Police said Gross was a passenger in a 2009 Toyota Corolla that was traveling westbound on Windsor Mill Road. Police said the Toyota Corolla crossed over the double yellow line on the road and struck a 2005 Chevrolet Impala that was traveling eastbound on Windsor Mill Road.

Everyone involved in the crash were taken to local hospitals, police said.

Police say crash officers are continuing their investigation at this time.
