Police investigate string of weekend shootings

Baltimore City police were investigating multiple shootings this weekend.

On Sunday, police investigated a reported shooting in the 3900 block of West Mulberry Street and said a 19-year-old victim went to an area hospital. Police said the victim was in the area of Edmondson Avenue and Allendale street when the shooting occurred.

In addition, a 22-year-old man was shot in the 2700 block of Baker Street, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the hand and taken to a nearby hospital and a 34-year-old man was shot early Sunday in the 2700 block of Garrison Boulevard.

On Saturday, city police were dispatched to five different locations to investigate shootings, including two deaths. Two female victims, one 30 years old and the other 22 years old were pronounced dead at area hospitals. Three other shooting victims were injured, including a 20-year-old male and a 30-year old male.

Citywide detectives were investigating.
