A 30-year-old North Baltimore City woman is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center in connection with armed robberies and shoplifting sprees in the central part of the county and parts of Baltimore City.

Kennise Chantelle Burrell, 30, of the 4800 block of Norwood Road, was arrested in late April when Baltimore County police found her hiding behind a bus shelter after allegedly shoplifting at a CVS store located at 1000 Taylor Ave. Police said Burrell began her robbery spree at that CVS store on March 25, ironically.

Described as a “teardrop tattoed robber,” police said that Burrell’s arrest cleared this shoplifting case and four additional armed robbery cases. Baltimore City police also cleared a number of armed robbery cases with Burrell’s arrest.

Police said that Burrell admitted she committed the crimes because of a drug addiction. She allegedly would pay “unknown individuals to drive her to the locations where she would commit the armed robberies by showing what appeared to be a handgun on her or in a bag she carried, demanding cash, then have the individual drop her off at another location,” police said.
