A fire destroyed a large house on Glenberry Court in Phoenix on Monday morning, authorities said.
Police said one man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but all residents were able to evacuate.. No firefighters were injured, police said.
Fire officials were dispatched to the scene around 2 a.m. and encountered a large fire engulfting the house.
The rural area is not served by hydrants, so firefighters used tanker strike teams to put out the flames. Authorities said the house would likely have been destroyed even if the neighborhood had hydrants because the fire was so large and advanced by the time firefighters arrived.
There was a 500 gallon oil tank found in the home, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation, police said.
