A man jumped from an I-695 overpass in the Woodlawn precinct, partially rolled underneath a vehicle and survived on Monday, Baltimore County Police said.

The 22-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to an area hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition, police said.

The Police Department received phone calls at 2:30 p.m. Monday reporting that a man had jumped off of the Crosby Road overpass onto I-695. Witnesses said the man climbed over a fencing barrier and intentionally jumped off of the overpass.

He struck the hood of a vehicle travelling on the outer loop. Police said no one in the vehicle was injured and that the incident did not cause any other reported crashes. However, traffic was backed up on both the inner and outer loops in the area, police said.
