suspect in murderA Baltimore man was arrested Friday for allegedly fatally shooting another man the previous morning during a dispute, city police said.

Santos Stanfield-Martin, 23, of the 5500 block of Haddon Avenue was charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, handgun violations, and reckless endangerment, police said.

According to police, Stanfield-Martin and Andre Michael Martin, 43, of the 3400 block of Hilldale Place were in a dispute when the shooting occurred at about 4:12 a.m. on Thursday. Police said they found the victim with gunshot wounds to his upper body and medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Stanfield-Martin, who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was listed in good condition. He was later released from the hospital and subsequently arrested by police, authorities said.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information towards the case to call 410-396-2100.
