Five young adults, including an 18-year-old woman, are in custody Friday in connection with a shootout in the 2100 block of Aiken Street earlier this week, Baltimore City Police said.

Officers were called to the scene when one of them saw two groups firing at each other. Officers said they followed a speeding SUV when the vehicle pulled up to the entrance of Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Three individuals inside the SUV were identified as Darius Foster, 22, Kenneth Black, 24, and Shamya Beckett, 18. Kenneth Black, 24, was shot in the hand. These four were arrested on warrants, as well as Devin O’Cain, 22, police said.

The Baltimore Police Citywide Shooting Unit said the five are held on charges of attempted murder, assault, handgun and drug charges.
