A 29-year-old man was shot in the 400 block of North Rose Street in Baltimore on Tuesday at about 10:37 p.m., police said.
Police were dispatched to the scene and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
Citywide Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
