A 27-year-old woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries on Thursday after a concreate porch in Gwynn Oak collapsed from under her and she fell 10 feet into a confined space, police said.

The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Venetian Road at about 3:09 p.m. Police said the woman was conscious and alert in a void space beneath the porch.

The woman was trapped by a slab of concrete and it took specialized tactical rescue units from the Texas Fire Station in Cockeysville and the Pikesville Volunteer Fire Co. about an hour to free her.

Police said the woman was able to climb a ladder to safety. The woman was flown by MSP Aviation to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, police said.
