Man dies in car crash

A 59-year-old man was killed on Monday when he crashed his Toyota Camry into a parked minivan in the 3400 block of Berwyn Avenue at 1 a.m., the Baltimore City Police Department said.

Police said a passenger in the vehicle was not injured in the crash. Crash team detectives are investigating the incident and believe the driver may have died as a result of a medical emergency, police said. This investigation remains ongoing.

In a separate incident, patrol officers responded to the 1200 block of Eager Street at approximately 3:03 a.m. on Monday for a report of discharging and discovered a 26-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot, police said.

Police said the victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
