A Baltimore man was pronounced dead after crashing a vehicle into a tree Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Ryan Anthony Morgereth, 29, was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Tufton Avenue in Reisterstown when the vehicle left the roadway and collided head-on with a tree, police said.

Police and Fire department personnel responded to the single-vehicle crash around 3:55 p.m. Police later discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen from Baltimore City, police said.

A female passenger, who has yet to be identified, was flown by Maryland State Police Medivac to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with reported life-threatening injuries.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is still investigating the crash and working to identify the female passenger.
