Seven people, including four students from Patapsco High School, were injured when a Dodge Stratus crashed into the mid-section of a Baltimore County school bus as it turned onto North Point Boulevard, police said.
The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team is investigating the accident.
Police said the school bus, carrying an assistant and 27 students from Patapsco, was traveling east on Trappe Road around 2:43 p.m. Friday. When the bus driver turned left onto North Point, a car, driven by a 25-year-old man who was traveling south on North Point, collided with the bus. The car driver and a 26-year-old female passenger were trapped in the vehicle but were rescued by County Fire and EMS units.
The car driver and passenger were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The bus assistant and four students were taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
