A 72-year-old Towson man was killed over the weekend in White Marsh when his 2001 Lexus ES300 struck a Jeep and pushed it into a third car, Baltimore County Police said.

James Minsurk Kim, of the 9200 block of Peach Blossom Avenue in Towson, was traveling south on Honeygo Road with two passengers when his Lexus struck a Jeep Commander at Silver Spring Road. The Jeep then collided with a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. Police said the crash occurred at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2.

Police said Kim died from his injuries an hour after the crash. The two occupants in his car were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

A family in the Jeep was transported to local hospitals with serious, non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured, police said.

The accident is under investigation.
