Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred within an hour of each other in the northwest and western districts of Baltimore City on Friday night.
The first came at 10:00 p.m. in the 3900 block of Fairfax Road, where officers found an 18-year old female with a gunshot wound to her chest, police said. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
An hour afterwards, officers were called to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim, police said. The 54-year old victim told police he was in the 2100 block of West North Avenue when he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot in the leg.
Detectives from the Citywide Shooting Unit are investigating both incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
