Police are on the scene of a shooting at Mclean Boulevard and Cleanleigh Drive in Parkville that occurred around 12:32 p.m. today.

Police said they responded to a call from Exxon gas station employees who called after hearing shots fired and a man screaming. The victim suffered at least one gunshot wound to his lower body and was transported to a nearby hospital where he is expected to survive, police said.

Police said they are working to obtain a description of the gunman who fled the scene before police arrived.

Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or may have information regarding this incident is being asked to contact police by dialing 9-1-1 or calling 410-307-2020. The Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
