Two suspects held in bank robbery case

A Maryland woman and a Delaware man were arrested Monday and charged with allegedly robbing a Sun Trust Bank at 8704 Belair Road in Nottingham, police said.

Police said officers saturated Belair Road in the Perry Hall and Overlea areas after getting a call about the bank robbery at about 11 that morning.

Both suspects were captured on the bank surveillance video leaving the scene on Belair Road towards Baltimore City, police said.

County officials said they notified city police, who came to assistance as the suspects crashed the vehicle they were driving into another vehicle at the intersection of Federal Street and North Broadway. Both suspects were hospitalized briefly with minor injuries, police said

The two suspects fled from the crash on foot, police said.

Crystal Lynn French, 33, of 100 block of Rebel Road in Grasonville and Matthew Dale Bush, 38, of 2600 block of Porter Road in Bear, Delaware, were charged with robbery and theft, police said. Bush was also charged with resisting arrest, according to police.

The suspects are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
