Shooting suspects arrested

Two women have been arrested and charged in connection with a September 30 shooting that left a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg, Police said.

Whitley Neal, 29, was arrested Thursday in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard, without incident, police said. On Tuesday, the first suspect was arrested in the 2500 block of Wilkens Avenue but has not been identified.

Citywide shooting detectives said the shooting occurred Sept. 30 at 12:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of E. Biddle Street. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital by medics and released.

Neal has been charged with first degree attempted murder and is being held Central Booking.
