RobberysuspectBaltimore police are searching for a 23-year-old city man who allegedly robbed a convenience store last month, police said.

Belmont Johnson is listed at 6 feet, 2 inches tall and about 210 pounds, police said.

Police said Johnson is wanted for an armed robbery that occurred on Sept. 30 in the 600 block of East 33rd Street.

The suspect was confronted by security at a convenience store when cameras caught him putting multiple items into a bag and attempting to leave, police said.

An altercation took place between the suspect and security guard, police said. They said Johnson informed the guard he was armed.

The guard successfully disarmed Johnson, but the suspect still managed to escape on foot, according to police.

Johnson dropped his birth certificate and Social Security card at the scene, police said.

Anyone with information can call detectives at 410-396-2455 or dial 911.
