A Reisterstown teenage was arrested today in connection with the death of a man last winter, police said.

Omar Mydie Hamilton, 18, of the unit block of Deepspring Court in Reisterstown, was charged with the shooting death of Larry Lynch, police said.

Police said the shooting occurred on Feb. 4 at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the 2900 Block of Lakebrook Circle in Halethorpe.

Officers arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds inside an apartment.  Police pronounced Lynch, 28, of the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle, dead on the scene. Hamilton was found in serious condition and transported to a local hospital.

Police believe Hamilton and another unidentified person shot and killed Lynch during an attempted robbery.  Lynch shot Hamilton in self-defense, but the other suspect fled the scene and was not apprehended, police said.

Hamilton is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said.
