A 37-year-old man was indicted on murder charges Tuesday in connection with the death of a Baltimore man earlier this year, county police said.

Kevin Tyrone Glover, of the 1000-block of West Baltimore Street in Baltimore,  was  charged with first-degree murder and assault, illegal possession of a firearm, and conspiracy, police said. He is being held in the Department of Corrections on violating probation from an earlier DUI offense, police said.

Police said the indictment stems from the death of Bernie Slater, 24, of the 2400 block of Massachusetts Avenue in Baltimore  last winter.

Glover is shown in surveillance footage approaching a vehicle in the parking lot of the Windsor Inn on Windsor Mall Road and speaking to someone inside the vehicle, police said.

Police believe Glover collaborated with the person inside the vehicle in the killing of Slater, who was shot multiple times to the upper body in the parking lot of the Windsor Mall just after 1:30 a.m. on March 17.
