A 37-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds early Tuesday morning in the 600 block of East Patapsco Avenue in Baltimore, according to police.
Police said a Southern District officer was on patrol at about 2 a.m. when he heard several gunshots. While searching, the victim approached the officer with gunshot wounds to the left cheek and lower body, police said.
The identity of the victim has not be released.
The victim was tended to by medics and transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
